Insulin isn’t just a drug. It’s the difference between life and death for millions of people with diabetes – and it’s something they will need every day for the rest of their lives.

When you or someone you love needs insulin and cannot afford it, the choices are scary. With the average price of insulin skyrocketing in recent years – nearly tripling between 2002 and 2013 – more and more of our family members, our friends, our neighbors and ourselves are faced with tough choices to pay for this lifesaving drug.

This is unacceptable. It’s time to stand together and call for change.

Living Healthy Lifestyle

Living healthy lifestyle is indeed the key to a life worth living but what is healthy lifestyle is the question asked by many. Healthy lifestyle does not mean a way of life whereby you are able to ward off disease and stay fit. It is getting something more from life itself by making little changes in your lifestyle. It is physical, mental and social well being that fills your life with happiness and contentment.


The most important problem today is the hectic work schedule and the sedentary life of most adults throughout the world. Living healthy lifestyle requires a little bit of motivation and of course time away from the addiction to electronic gadgets and the idiot box. Here are some healthy lifestyle tips that can help to reach the goal of living a healthy lifestyle


Physical activity is essential to stimulate the body to function well by improving our blood circulation, gives strength fight injuries, and increases mobility in the muscles and joints. Indulge in activities like playing games, going for walks, gardening, and doing household chores will make a big difference in keeping depression and mood swings at bay. Exercises help in toning the body. Further brisk walking, swimming, cycling, aerobics, dancing, yoga etc should be carried out in unison with the other moderate activities mentioned above.


The term what is healthy lifestyle is closely connected with what a person eats. Eating healthy means, having five portions of fruits, vegetables in a day, add omega3, fatty, acids, whole grains, and fibers in your diet but keep it low in, salt, fats and less processed foods. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water helps to flush out body toxins and keeps the body hydrated. Another important healthy lifestyle tips is to quit smoking and always have a positive attitude towards life.

Living a healthy lifestyle will not only help in losing weight but also at the same time keep the dreaded diseases of hypertension, heart attack, stroke, and diabetes at bay.

The Lost Diabetic Is back! Nearly a year on this adventure

Well it has been almost a year now since I was diagnosed with diabetes. It has been a long and trying year for me as I try and cope with this disease and how people treat you with it. The worst part about all this which makes my blood boil to no end is the fact that as a diabetic I have to pay for all my Needles. While the local heroine users (there are lots here in NH, Manchester was ranked Number 3 for the worst city) get Free Needles. OK, Like why do drug addicts get free needles and I don’t? The answer i get all the time is they have a disease and they don’t want to spread it. Well I have a disease and unlike them, I have no choice but to use needles unless I want to die. While they give needles to them and they still die. 

I know I am heartless. Bull, I have lost a cousin to heroine. Uncle has been brought back twice from an OD. I also work with the homeless population and live in one of the worst parts of Manchester NH. So Don’t tell me I am heartless. But the bleeding democrats need to wake up and help us diabetics from spending our money to LIVE and giving it to the Walking dead poor. 

Enough about that. When I was first diagnosed I was 293 pounds. A1C of 13.3 and glucose level above 750. Today my last A1c was 5.8 and my current tally for the 3 month average glucose is 111. so i am looking forward to my next A1C test in January 2018. I weigh 225 lbs. 

I credit all of this to Disc Golfing every day, watching the foods i eat, cutting out bad carbs and eating more whole foods wile eliminating the extra sugar in the foods i eat. My Site is all the research I was doing learning about this disease and how to manage it and still live a normal life.

Since no one will be reading this anyways. But if you do? Then know you are not alone. There is a way to become healthy again. it just takes lots of research on your part and eating the right foods. The most important part is exercising. So The best way i found to do that is play Disc golf.
